“The Dems Got It All Wrong About Community Organizers!”

September 9, 2008

…and your $5 donation can help prove it! Please read on…

Let me ask you something. Were Republicans being mean-spirited to community organizers during the Republican convention, or do Democrats just not get the joke? Did Sarah Palin and Rudy Giuliani mean to insult all community organizers, or do Democrats just not appreciate sarcasm?

As Michelle Malkin, who is frequently featured on the Bill O’Reilly show, wrote:

“Let me clarify something. Nobody is mocking community organizers in church basements and community centers across the country working to improve their neighbors’ lives.”

And Dean Barnett at The Weekly Standard wrote:

“…the community organizer barb isn’t aimed at the vast population of hard-working and dedicated community organizers who are bravely organizing communities even as we speak.”

But Democrats heard the speeches by Rudy and Sarah from the opposite viewpoint. They really thought they heard that Republicans don’t respect and support community organizers or community organizing.

They even put together a video reminding Americans about some great community organizers. As if we didn’t already know that.

Unlike the Democrats, you agree with Michelle Malkin and Dean Barnett, don’t you?

SO PROVE THE DEMOCRATS WRONG!
…by donating just $5 to one of the honorable organizations selected for this fund-raising drive, which was started as a call to action in response to the back-and-forth between Republicans and Democrats about this issue.

What’s needed are not more blog posts or articles. No more online “petitions” from the Democrats or “explanations” from Republicans.

WHAT’S NEEDED IS ACTION!.
You can choose from any of the organizations listed, including Soldier’s Angels (Michelle Malkin’s favorite charity), and Raising Special Kids based in Arizona, a resource center for families with children with special needs.

Funds raised will be tracked and tallied up, and reported to the press and media.
(You can even view the progress of donations on each organization’s individual donation page.)

BUT THERE’S NOT MUCH TIME LEFT!!!
Why? Because our goal is to raise $5 Million Dollars by 9/11!
Today, as this is written, it’s 9/09. That’s only TWO DAYS to reach the goal!

BUT IT CAN BE DONE! Donate, then forward our URL to everyone you know! Prove that together, through the power of Republicans and the power of the internet, anything’s achievable!

JUST $5
So, show once again that you really honor the service of community organizers by donating just $5 to one of these fine organizations:

SoldiersAngels is Michelle Malkin’s favority charity. As a volunteer-led nonprofit, we have over 20 different teams and programs supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. We send letters, care packages, and comfort items to the deployed, and we support their families here at home. We also provide assistance to the wounded, continuing support for veterans, remembrances and comfort for families of the fallen, and immediate response to unique difficulties.

Raising Special Kids is based in Arizona, John McCain’s home state, and provides support and resources for families with special needs children, for whom Sarah Palin promised to advocate. Raising Special Kids is a non-profit organization of families helping families of children with disabilities and special health needs in Arizona.
All programs and services are provided to families free of charge. At all ages and stages of a child’s development, Raising Special Kids supports parents

American Red Cross Today, in addition to domestic disaster relief, the American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five other areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.

United Way United Way of America is the national organization dedicated to leading the United Way movement. Local United Ways create long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues. Common focus areas include helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence, and improving people’s health. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems.

Greater Chicago Food Depository The Food Depository is committed to efficiently distributing donated and purchased food through its network of 600 qualified agencies, such as soup kitchens, shelters and pantries. Since its incorporation in 1978, the Food Depository has remained steadfast to this mission. In fiscal year 2004-05, the Food Depository distributed more than 40 million pounds of nonperishable food, fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products and fresh and frozen meat, poultry and fish, the equivalent of more than 84,000 meals every day of the year. Tens of thousands of men, women and children each week rely on the food provided by the Food Depository.

It can be done!

So, please, DONATE NOW. Thank you.
